Cottage Hotel, Boskerris Road, Carbis Bay, St Ives TR26 2PE Tel: 01736 795252
DAY 1
We depart our local area and travel south to our destination St Ives with lunch and comfort stops on route.
DAY 2
Today we head off to Penzance where we will have time to wander and have a coffee stop before continuing on to Lands End. Like so many generations before, we arrive at one of the world's best loved landmarks. It's a place where the might of the Atlantic meets the towering cliffs of Cornwall - a place where nature is still one of the big attractions. You may discover a myriad of wild flowers, watch the soaring seabirds and you may be lucky and see the seals coming out to play. We return to the Hotel vis Zennor and the dramatic coastal route.
DAY 3
Today we make our way to Newquay, a seaside town which boasts a world of family attractions away from its beaches, when you've had enough of sandcastles and ice creams. We leave Newquay behind and follow the coastal route up to Padstow. Nestled on the Camel Estuary, Padstow is a traditional coastal town whose colourful harbour and medieval houses are themselves an attraction. We return to Carbis Bay for our evening meal.
DAY 4
Today we give you the day to yourselves - why not catch the train into St Ives? St Ives is a bustling resort with a wide range of things to keep you busy - interesting shops, art galleries and of course the harbour. The town that has become one of the principal tourist destinations in Cornwall was once a town that thrived on its fishing and mining industries.
DAY 5
Sadly we leave St Ives, and travel homewards with an extended stop in Plymouth on the way, arriving in the local area early evening.
